The members
of Harmonica Henry & the Blues Rockers are among the most qualified and merited
on the Swedish blues scene. They provide a real, genuine 50:s-style sound in
Chicago blues and others styles. They have performed at the biggest annual blues
festivals in Scandinavia, been working together with Sandra Hall (USA) and appear
regularly at the most prominent clubs. Jan Sjöström,
and Hank Jansson have acquired a well established position on the Swedish blues
elite, mainly trough their many years in the Chicago Express, a band characterised
as a band in world class. The story of the BLUES ROCKERS started in 1975 when
Sjöström and Jansson formed the group along with Anders Gutke well known from
Telge Blues.
JAN SJÖSTRÖM
has, with his powerful harp that places him on highest international level,
been a driving force on the Swedish blues scene since the 70:s. He has worked
together with American blues artists on guest tours, such as Snooky Pryor, Lousiana
Red, Sunnyland Slim and is frequently engaged as a studio musician. In this
band he is given the perfect space and backing.
HANK JANSSON
has, to a great deal, the same background as Jan Sjöström and Stefan Sundlöf.
Among the elite of Swedish blues guitarists he uniquely combines a genuine 50:s-style
rhythm and lead guitar with power, intensity and sensibility.
