This is the first English-Urdu Dictionary which has been made available on the WWW.
It was launched about 8 years ago. The aim has been to reach those persons as well,
who are not familiar with Urdu's script. Still there are several technical complications
which have been a hinder in the usage of Urdu script.

Like every compiler of a dictionary, I face the classical problem of finding exact equivalent
for each word. Many similar words may exist but none of them is the exact translation of
the original word.

Periodic updating is done with additional words and further improvements. I have not yet
found a satisfactory method of proof-reading hence, despite all the efforts, inconsistencies
and typos do creep in. Please do not hesitate to point out.

Thanks to all those who keep sending in their comments, concerns, corrections,
and critique.

Some of the e-mails cannot be answered as the accompanying reply addresses are not
always correct. Lately, as a precautionary measure I have abstained from answering
some of the mails as they carried virus infected attachments.
